CENTENNIAL PROCLAMATION

Whereas, the year 2024 marks the 100th Anniversary of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and School in Marrero, Louisiana, which was and continues to be dedicated to the Gospel message, and the service of God while serving others, and

Whereas, we give pause, honor, and praise this day for the deep and abiding commitment of those in faith who have gone before to provide beautiful places of worship, and

Whereas, continuing on this great work, five generations of children have been served from a school founded on Reason, Kindness and Religion, and

Whereas, our entire faith community has benefited from the welcoming spirit this church has exerted through the years uniting people from many different cultures, languages, nationalities and nations, and

Whereas, it is a pleasure to extend this expression of our esteem and best wishes to the members of this congregation on the memorable occasion of this 100th Anniversary,

Now therefore, I, Gregory Michael Aymond, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, urge all members of the community to join together in recognition and appreciation of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and School for their commitment and contribution to our entire extended community.

Considerando que, el año 2024 marca el centenario de la Iglesia y Escuela Católica de la Inmaculada Concepción en Marrero, Louisiana, que estuvo y continúa estando dedicada al mensaje del Evangelio y al servicio de Dios mientras sirve a los demás, y

Por cuanto, hacemos una pausa, honramos y alabamos este día por el compromiso profundo y permanente de aquellos en la fe que han ido antes para brindar hermosos lugares de adoración, y

Considerando que, continuando con esta gran obra, cinco generaciones de niños han sido atendidas desde una escuela fundada en la Razón, la Bondad y la Religión, y

Considerando que toda nuestra comunidad de fe se ha beneficiado del espíritu de bienvenida que esta iglesia ha ejercido a lo largo de los años uniendo a personas de muchas culturas, idiomas, nacionalidades y naciones diferentes, y

Considerando que es un placer extender esta expresión de nuestra estima y mejores deseos a los miembros de esta congregación en la memorable ocasión de este Centenario,

Por lo tanto, yo, Gregory Michael Aymond, Arzobispo de la Arquidiócesis de Nueva Orleans, insto a todos los miembros de la comunidad a unirse en reconocimiento y aprecio a la Iglesia y Escuela Católica de la Inmaculada Concepción por su compromiso y contribución a toda nuestra comunidad extendida.
