Dear Parishioners and Friends,
Immaculate Conception Parish in Marrero celebrates her 100th Anniversary Jubilee this year and we count so many blessings over the course of these many beautiful years as a parish community. One of our greatest blessings is the great devotion and love that is shared in our Hispanic Community here at Immaculate Conception celebrating 37 years as a community this year. In 1987 Monsignor Hebert invited the Hispanic Community to become a part of our Marrero Parish. Fr. Salvador Galvez was a young newly ordained priest at that time and he and Monsignor Hebert led the community to grow and deepen its roots here at Immaculate Conception in Marrero. This community has fostered a deep love of Our Lady and has celebrated with solemnity Our Lady of Guadalupe each year. By the grace of God, and the many sacrifices of so many of you, our community will continue to grow stronger and more vibrant for the next 37 years and the next generation of catholic families! God bless you and happy anniversary! -Fr. Stephen Leake, Pastor
